How CBD Oil Helped Me Sleep Better

I used to have a lot of trouble sleeping. I would toss and turn for hours, trying to get comfortable, but it felt like my mind was racing a million miles an hour and I could never really relax.

I tried everything from chamomile tea to reading before bed, but nothing seemed to work. A friend recommended that I try CBD oil, and I’m really glad I did. Here’s how it changed my sleeping pattern.

I keep track of my sleep on my Fitbit, this is a typical day 5 – 6 hours of sleep

When I used CBD Oil for the first time, I used 2 drops, 3 times per day, and stopped around 18:00. My usual sleep period is from 8 – 9 pm and wakes at about 3 am without the help of an alarm. (Usually 6 hours of sleep.)

When I used CBD oil I fell asleep an hour before my usual bedtime and I slept for a total of 10 hours.

I woke up the next day feeling refreshed and felt clarity the rest of the day.

This was highly unusual for me. My mind, my mood, and my happiness were elevated as I spent the following day contemplating what had happened. I was in shock as I had tried numerous aids, and supplements, and have counted enough sheep that I am sick of looking at them.

What is CBD Oil?

CBD oil is derived from the hemp plant, It contains very little THC, only trace amounts,  so it will not get you high. Instead, it has a number of other benefits, including helping to improve sleep, anxiety and pain relief. THC is the chemical in cannabis that gets you high, and it can actually have the opposite effect when it comes to sleep; instead of helping you relax, it can make you more paranoid and anxious, which makes it harder to fall asleep. CBD oil does not have this effect.

How long does it take to work?

When I started using CBD oil, I noticed a difference pretty much right away. I was able to fall asleep more easily and stay asleep for longer periods of time. I also didn’t wake up feeling groggy in the morning like I sometimes did after taking over-the-counter sleep aids.

Overall, I just felt more rested and less stressed out. If you’re looking for a natural way to improve your sleep, CBD oil is definitely worth considering.

CBD oil is available in a variety of forms, including tinctures, capsules, edibles, and topical creams. You can also find Full Spectrum CBD Oil, CBD isolate, which is pure CBD that has been isolated from the other cannabinoids in the cannabis plant. If you’re new to CBD oil or unsure about which form would be best for you, talk to your doctor or a licensed dispensary technician for advice.
